I specifically bought the 2008 because it has higher torque and horsepower for towing and traveling in the mountains, and that has paid off. I traveled the US for 140K miles, and commuted to work in very different environments; this Element is still a very strong vehicle, with lots of practical accessories. Engine, suspension, brakes, joints, exhaust, all in great shape. Auxiliary Electricity in the Cargo Area, Aux Lights Interior and Exterior. Lifted 2" Professionally, 16" Wheels, New Tires, Window Rain Deflectors, Heated Seats, CarPlay Stereo system with Back Up Camera, Security, Remote Start, Thule Roof Rack and Gear Basket, 2" Receiver, Gobi Ladder.

Car Comes With Everything Listed Below:

1. 120 volt, grounded, electrical outlets and USB port in cargo area; to be used with extension cord to electric campsite or other source (RV plug on bumper) You could wire in an AGM battery and Inverter for off-grid use.

11. Aftermarket Wheels 16 inch.

25. Upgraded gas springs on rear hatch to hold weight of Gobi ladder/Rotopax without falling.

26. Rear Tail Light Guards

27. Four Wood Storage Boxes designed and built for the cargo area of this car, removable, with easy access. (Hot Tip: A specific model of the Engel refrigerator /freezer fits perfectly between these boxes (refrigerator not included))

28. Auxiliary Electrical: -Heise 12" front light bar on front bumper, toggle on dash. (Perfect to light up a campsite or hazard, good in fog) -Side lights on runners, toggle on dash. -Rear White Lights on rear bumper, toggle on dash. (Great for backing into a tight space and for illuminating that campsite) -Boat Lights at interior driver door, passenger door, and rear hatch. Manual switch on each light bar. They are small, bright, and on a swivel to direct the light. Incredibly helpful to view the interior sides and cargo area. Recent Service May 2026: New Front Axle plus Passenger and driver's CV Joints installed by Honda. (not due to accident. Wear and tear and very, very, bad Colorado highway potholes) Repair included new tires and alignment. All alignments have been done with professional shops that have experience with lift kits. * Due for service: -Valve adjustment and Spark Plug replacement. Last done at 121959 miles, Honda Seattle. This vehicle has a timing chain, not a timing belt, and therefore just requires the valves and plugs attended to. The timing chain does not need to be replaced. There are zero indications that the chain has any issues. Cost for valves/plugs at that time was < $900.00. Seller not responsible for this service. -Passenger window motor is slow but works. (part is <$50.00, labor anywhere from $300 up for a shop to replace it.) Seller not responsible for this service -Crack in Windshield. $400.00-$800.00 repair depending on whether you want heat shield or tint. Crack is not in direct line of sight. Seller not responsible for this service. ** DO NOT exceed Manufacturer's Max Load Recommendations. See Honda manual for weight limits (included) Flaws: Mostly small cosmetic scratches and bumps: dent and paint scratch on tailgate; horizontal scratch and shallow dent passenger side; paint fade on hood from sunlight; small crack in dash from heat of sun; crack in rear bumper near plug. Small tear (not through) in Ecamper fabric where it caught in hinge once (repaired with FlexSeal). No rust. No mechanical or electrical problems. Tiny bit of mold around bottom of Ecamper fabric - lived in Seattle a long time and managed this with occasional bleach/water spritz. No fabric damage from it. No odor from it. I've spent hours inside this Hotelement during an afternoon hailstorm in Arkansas, slept comfortably through rain, hail and windstorms in Colorado, had great ventilation and sun coverage during spring in Joshua Tree... Used the auxiliary electrical to keep my heated mattress cover warm as well as a refrigerator cold. There's enough space to sit on the wood storage box behind the driver and cook on a propane stove on the opposite box at the same time. (I'm 5' 6") Handles snow and two tracks equally well. Higher clearance, plus tighter suspension and steering have opened up longer distances fully loaded over forest service/BLM roads, plus a few exploratory trails as well. This car was never abused and only loved and well maintained.
