“Fifth Element Camping System: the perfect fit
Nick’s 5EC system gave new life both to our Honda Element AND my Ecamper. We’ve had Ursa Minor’s E-camper (#14) and our 4wd Element since 2008, but discovered that sleeping up on the roof made the E a little tippy (and a bit of a hassle to get out in the middle of the night!)…. so we started sleeping “downstairs” using the pop top for ventilation, and wishing we had a bed platform and some sort of storage. We explored the various do-it yourself websites…no good… and even went to a custom cabinet maker who said no way….but then discovered the 5EC system, the perfect fit.
The 5EC system is really a wonderful design solution for a complex space, in the form of fine cabinetry! It embodies a number of very clever methods for providing a sleeping area, kitchen and storage, and also a “home entertainment-office” space. The feeling is of having a custom, tailor-made furniture system made of nice wood, albeit with a mobile advantage… I use the back bench folded up as an office during work days, and the bed platform is an excellent surface for skis and gear during the winter. There’s a crazy amount of storage options where I have a cook system, sleeping gear, and even a bar kept available on demand. And it all can be easily removed and replaced. Nick’s enthusiasm for continually improving the product to perfectly fit within the trusty, reliable E makes it a must for those of us who love car camping and who wanted the spirit of a VW bus but with modern design within a modern, reliable, affordable package.”

Ready to go adventuring!

First, I would like to say that this system is one of the most thoughtfully designed and clever systems I’ve seen. I’m blown away at the attention to detail. Everything is included: socket and screwdriver set, water jug for the sink, bungees. There is liberal use of magnetic catches to secure pieces to each other.

The build quality is amazing, design and refinement is fantastic. Customer support has been unbelievable and I'm now a huge fan of Nick and his work. I’m super happy with the system and I feel it’s worth every penny.

 One of the best purchases for the build has been the Fifth Element Camping (FEC) system. Been using it a couple of years now and I use it ALL THE TIME. For work I use it to stay at my work and cut down the daily commute. On trips it helps immensely with storage and keeps the camper organized. Nick @ Fifth Element Camping was amazing to work with and I still stay in contact. His customer support is second to none. Combined with the @hiros hotrods swivel seats, it’s a winning combo.
